The Boys & Girls Clubs of Fresno County implement these initiatives to help young people enhance self-expression and creativity, develop multicultural appreciation, provide exposure to and develop skills in crafts and visual, performing and literary arts.

Arts & Crafts

Every Club offers arts & crafts as a way for members to explore creative self expression. Here are some examples of the fun things kids get to create:

• Handmade greeting cards
• Holiday decorating crafts
• Ceramics
• Drawing & painting workshops
• Sewing

Fine Arts

Club members benefit from the incorporation of fine arts into our activities, Children enjoy the opportunity to engage in the performing and cultural arts. Though programs vary at the individual Clubs, here are some examples:
 

• Music appreciation
• Song and story writing
• Voice and choir instruction
• Guitar lessons
• Folkloric dance groups
• Dance troupes
• Theatrical programs
• Field trips to museums, theatrical performances and ballet.
