Six Clubs Stage Gang Awareness
Events |
|
|
With the aid of a grant from the
Fresno County Gang Prevention
Task Force, six of our clubs
(Del Rey, Firebaugh, Huron,
Orange Cove, Parlier, and
Pinedale) held gang awareness
events the week of October 4-9.
Four of the Clubs partnered with
their local elementary schools
to teach respect and to focus on
preventing bullying. Youth
engaged in various activities to
raise awareness. More than
2,250 youth and adults
participated. |
57th All Star
Game Scheduled
|

Plans are underway for
the 57th
annual City/County All
Star Game to be played
June 17th,
2011. Planners report
that the event will
return to its classic
formula of having all
city players on one time
and all county players
on the other, rather
than mixing as has been
done for several years.

Donate Thanksgiving Dinners to
Families of the Boys & Girls
Clubs |
|
As Thanksgiving approaches,
we will again be inviting
donations of food for
families of our Club
members. Aetna takes the
lead in donating food
baskets, but we invite your
help. We are looking at
donating staples, not just
items for one meal. For

Coats for Kids being
collected for the fourth year in
a row |
|
|
For the fourth straight year,
motorcycle enthusiasts around
the county are participating
with local businesses to collect
Coats for Kids. Drop off new or
slightly used coats or jackets
at the drop off sites listed on
our website. All used coats
will be cleaned before being
given to our kids. You can drop
off your coats any time in
November and the coats will be
given away on December 18th.

close clubs for one
day each month. At
