Provide hope and opportunity for Boys & Girls Club youth!
There are needs in our community and together we can meet them!!!
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Fresno County’s mission is “To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens”. So, CBS47 is partnering with the Boys & Girls Clubs to collect old/new sports equipment, school supplies, books, and gift cards donations for the CBS47 On Your Side Collection Drive
(see full list of at www.bgclubfc.org).
The collection drive is scheduled for Wednesday, July 28th at CBS 47 located at 4880 N. First Street. Viewers, donors, and friends of the Clubs can make this a successful event by donating one or more of the desired items. CBS 47 viewers can drop off their donations at the station (or one of the Clubs listed below) from 7am to 7 pm. Donors will receive a ticket for the Grizzlies game on Friday, July 30th at Chukchansi Park at 7:00pm (while supplies last). CBS 47 is the sponsor of the game’s firework show. The evening will also highlight Eric Sanchez, Boys & Girls Clubs Youth of the Year.

Teen car crashes account for up to 44 percent of all teen deaths, making it the number one cause of teen deaths in the United States. Midas has teamed with nationally noted automotive expert, Lauren Fix, the Car Coach, to host interactive Teen Car Care Clinics to educate teens and parents.
Each "Teen Car Care Clinic" will feature hands-on demonstration by Lauren Fix, offering participants the chance to learn how to properly perform important tests and vehicle checks.
Teens and parents will learn to explore their vehicles for safe equipment and instruments. The cost is free and refreshments and goodie bags will be given to all attendees.

New Cavs coach Byron Scott arrived to watch James and several Cleveland players work out on Wednesday as the NBA - and seemingly the entire sports world - prepares for the two-time MVP
to announce which team he'll sign with during a national TV appearance on ESPN. (Click here to read more)

Thanks Whole Food Market team members for voting the Boys & Girls Clubs
of Fresno County as one of their Nickels for Nonprofits recipients for next quarter. This program raises anywhere from $2,100-$3,500 for a nonprofit. The Nickels for Nonprofits program is just one way Whole Food Market gives back to the community.
