Opening Of New Club

Boys & Girls Clubs of Fresno County opened its 15th club at the Villa Margaritas apartments located one block west of Chestnut on Olive. Villa is the apartment complex that a Lear Jet crashed into 13 years ago. Mennonite Community Church assists with the rent on a one bedroom apartment and provides volunteers. Union Bank Reinvests

Union Bank of California donated $15,000 to the Boys & Girls Clubs as a part of their commitment to reinvest in the community.  Raj Sodhi-Layne, manager of Union Bank's Priority Banking branch in Fresno along with Dave Stepp, facilitated the donation. She said, "The work that the Boys & Girls Clubs do in our community is incredible".  President/CPO, Ken Quenzer stated, "The funds provided by Union Bank will help the Boys & Girls Clubs of Fresno County reach out to children we have not yet been able to reach. It means that we will be able tobring hope to young people who otherwise have little hope in their lives."

Risk Takers, Dream Makers Award

Ken Quenzer, Chief Professional Officer, was honored at the 3rd Annual Risk Takers, Dream Makers Award Luncheon on November 15th.  This luncheon honors those who have taken the extra step to cultivate opportunities in Fresno in an on-going effort to facilitate the vision for the development of southwest Fresno.  Mr. Quenzer was awarded the President's Award at the ceremony.
